About The Chocolate House
A message from Susie Bristow, proprietor and chocolatier of 'The Chocolate House'
"I started making fudge in my mother's kitchen over 25 years ago as a hobby. After a while I added chocolates, developing different types of centres and testing them out on grateful relatives and friends! My wonderful hobby grew, and I set up The Chocolate House shop in Lancashire in 1983.
I have always loved working with chocolate (who wouldnt!) so it seemed natural to include a demonstration of the art of chocolate making to groups of customers as part of their visit experience to my shop. The group demonstrations are now a very popular customer request! YouÂ’ll find details of how to book a visit on our visits page under 'our shop'.
I now have a small band of helpers (and testers!) making the fabulous chocolates you'll see on my web site. Not only do we constantly develop many new lines and products, but also our shop is a major tourist spot in Lancashire attracting thousands of people, and media interest every year."
